Abstract

The theme is based on a double statement: the charisms find their full identity only in sharing the gift they express, because sharing is in the very nature of the charism; sharing enriches the charisms allowing the full manifestation of the potential contained within them. In mutual sharing there is in fact a “more”, which goes beyond the sum of the components, and which has consistency in the mystical reality of the Risen Lord present among those who are united in his name.

The areas and methods of sharing are analyzed in five moments: (I) the personal charisms within the common charism, (II) the common charism in relation to the charismatic family, (III) the charisms of the different Institutes and Movements in relation to each other, (IV) the charisms in relation to the different ecclesial vocations, (V) the charisms in relation to the world.
