The study intends to verify Dostoevsky’s dialectical perspective: the relationship between good and evil, between freedom and destructive forces. The theological themes of F. Dostoevsky’s works are examined. One tries to find in the writer’s works the answer to the question: Why is suffering, pain and evil present in the world? It reflects on the messianic figure created by the writer – Prince Myškin. In particular, the theme that frequently finds reference to Dostoevsky in many authors is analysed: beauty.
